3D Laser Survey

An important part of Phase One of the Kāneiolouma project was to create a baseline for the future reconstruction with a 3D site survey. Dave Wellman, nationally recognized surveyor and engineer, mapped Peru’s sacred Machu Picchu in three dimensions, and did the same thing at Kāneiolouma in 2013.

Using laser technology and multiple cameras, the 3D scanner  allows comprehensive data to be collected quickly, accurately, with high intensity and safety. This information will be of great advantage during the upcoming Phase Three of the project, when the rock walls, house and idol sites are reconstructed.
